So, now that 2012 is over, its time for favourites of the entire year! Here they are!
Face:
Foundation/Powder:
My favourite powder this year, which also happens to be my favourite foundation of the year is my MAC Studio Fix Powder Foundation. My mom uses this too, and she has gone through several of these. If I am wearing foundation at all, its this one. It the smoothest, creamiest, most pigmented powder foundation that I have come across and I definitely recommend it to anyone who hates heavy makeup.
Concealer:
The Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Concealer is definitely my favourite concealer for the year. It is brightening and covers up dark circles very well.
Bronzer:
This is pretty much the only bronzer I've used. I don't really like bronzers, mainly because I haven't been able to find anything matte or deep enough to contour my face. But the Revlon Photoready Bronzer in Bronzed and Chic is AMAZING. i love how it isn't only one colour of bronzer, but actually a palette of four colours, which is why it suits a vareity of skintones.
Highlighter:
I've had two highlighter favourites this year. The first one is the MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish (which is limited edition) in the shade Superb. This is the most gorgeous makeup product I have ever seen. It is actually quite metallic, but gives the most gorgeous glow.
My other favourite highlighter is the MAC Magically Cool Liquid Powder (which came out in the MAC Venomous Villains collection, but I believe that its permanent now) in the colour Cajun. I love the texture of this powder. It very finely milled, smooth, velvety, basically amazing. It definitely is a lot more wearable than the MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish, which is why I love this for the daytime.
Blush:
I can't just mention one blush for my favourites of the year. Thats why I have five. The first one is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed. If I had to choose one blush that I could wear forever, it would be this one.
The next one is the Revlon Photoready Blushes in Flushed (left) and Coral Reef (right). These are definitely the best cream blushes I've ever tried. They have a cream to powder finish and apply really easily.
The next blush is Gingerly by MAC. Its a warmer, brownish colour which is beautiful for the fall and winter time. It has a lovely colour payoff, and really, it works with every makeup look ever.
So those are all my face favourites. Moving on to eyes...
Eyes:
Eyeshadow:
The first eyeshadow favourite is the Maubelline Colour Tattoo in Bad To The Bronze. Its one of the easiest eyeshadow to pull off. It works with pretty much all skin tones, and it takes no time and requires no tools to actually apply it. It lasts for a long time (not really 24 hours though) and is very well pigmented, which makes it the perfect eyeshadow if you hardly have time to do your makeup.
The NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Kalhari is a lovely palette. It actually looks great when paired with the Maybelline eyeshadow. These eyeshadows are pigmented, creamy and have the most beautiful color. I tend to use more of the colour on the left, but the colour on the right is beautiful as well.
And of course, I cannot forget the Naked Palette. I love this palette for many reasons, but three main reasons to why I love this palette is because: a) It is a neutral palette b)ALL the shadows have excellent colour payoff and c) The range of shades in this palette makes the palette extremely versatile. No wonder this is one of the best selling beauty products EVER.
Eyeshadow Primer:
The NARS Smudge Proof Pro Prime Eyeshadow Primer might take a long time to type, but definitely is the best primer I have ever tried. It keeps you shadows vibrant and prevents creasing for the entire day.
Eyeliners:
The MAC Pearliglide Intense Eyeliners are really beautiful. They're unlike any other eyeliner I have seen. One they have dried, they WILL NOT MOVE. And I love the little flecks of shimmer that they have as well.
The Revlon Colorstay eyeliner in Black is the most pigmented, creamy yet most longlasting eyeliner I have ever tried. I literally have only a centimeter worth of product yet, and will definitely repurchase this same eyeliner after it is over.
So, eye favourites are now DONE. Moving on to lips:
Lips:
Lipstick:
The Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters are by far the best lipsticks I have ever tried. I already own ten and honestly, I wouldn't mind if I had any more :P. These are really moisturizing and pigmented. They may not last a long time, but it literally takes about five seconds to apply, which I don't mind at all.
MAC's lipstick in Jubilee is the most perfect nude lipstick I have ever tried. Its not really completely nude, but has a little warmth to it as well. I think that its a mixture of a nude lipstick, a peach lipstick and a brown lipstick, plus all the creaminess and moisture of a MAC Creamsheen lipstick.
Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm Stain in Honey is beautiful. It works with pretty much all makeup looks, and also, surprisingly, lasts a long time. It is also quite hydrating.
Lipgloss:
My most worn lipgloss of the year is the Estee Lauder Lipgloss in Orchid Passion. Its a sheer berry colour which is probably why I love it SO much.
The next lipgloss favorite is Chanel's lipgloss in Jalousie. It is by far the most pigmented lipgloss I have ever owned. Plus, the colour could't have posssibly been more gorgeous than it is.
MAC's Plushglass in Ample Pink is a gorgeous everyday neutral pink, which looks beautiful when paired with the Revlon Balm Stain in Honey. I don't usually like MAC's Plushglasses, but this one I like.
So those are all my lip favourites!
So those are all my favourites of the entire year! I hope you had a wonderful 2012 and have an even better 2013.
Okay, bye.

Thanks Ananya for all these tips. I haven't actually used most of the stuff that you've recommended, and probably don't know the meaning of some of the things, but having read your blog, I'm tempted to try it out. Keep blogging about make up. It's a whole different world!
